Well, since Chris' sister had the courage to post about trying loose weight I should too! As long as I'm not the one to make a bold step! It's no mystery that I've been trying to loose the 75lbs I've put on since my jr. year in high school...:(. I feel I've reached my wits end. I don't like feeling lethargic and unmotivated. I don't like looking in the mirror and seeing the skinny person who I have convinced myself is still me:o).
So in October I joined weight watchers, which was hard, because everything I have ever heard, was that it's (no offense) old fat ladies. Well as we all know we don't judge a book by its cover, and no it's not old fat ladies-it's old fat ladies and men! JUST KIDDING. I was very surprised to see people from 18 to 80 at my meeting. Just another way God proves me wrong! Anyway, I joined, stopped for the holidays because I figured it was a wrong move, gained 12 lbs and between November and the end of Feb!!!!!! I had a fit one night, and signed back up! Things since are going great, I have used my gym membership more this past week than I think I have collectively since I joined!
My boss is also doing the weight watchers program as well, so it's nice when I am at work I have someone who can hold me accountable, it's just the weekends that I fail miserably at. I have gotten MUCH better about cooking healthier and staying away from the pizza that Chris holds near and dear to his heart<3. He has began eating much better as well. He even chose ground turkey over ground beef last night (this is a huge step in the making buddy healthy too process).
I'd like to say this will be a short and sweet process, but that's a bunch of lies. The meetings help, quite a bit, I don't like the "ya lets loose weight and cheer each other on" mentality, seems a little too rah rah rah for me, but it works, it's becoming an addiction to loose weight, where as before I wanted to complain about being fat, yet never did anything about it. I've rediscovered the happy Ashley that I knew was just hidden behind a few layers of fat, big deal. It's amazing what can motivate me, and what's even better is working my butt off at the gym and eating smarter and knowing that it's actually doing something!!!

I can totally agree with everything you said about losing weight! I soooo wish it were easier! I have a friend who has done Weight Watchers for just over a year now, and has lost over 90lbs... and she looks incredible! So if she can do it, so can you! And so can I hopefully! ;) Oh by the way, that friend of mine that does weight watchers just told me that exact same quote yesterday!
